Update about Delhi Dehradun Expressway

The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is making significant progress and is expected to be operational by the end of 2024. The expressway, which spans approximately 239 kilometers, aims to cut down travel time between Delhi and Dehradun to just 2.5 hours from the current six hours.


The first segment of the expressway, stretching from Akshardham in Delhi to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, is expected to be operational by November 2024. This initial phase will significantly ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity (Economic Times: India TV News).


The complete expressway is anticipated to be fully operational by December 2024, further enhancing the travel experience and reducing travel time (Times of India). This infrastructure development is part of a broader effort to improve road connectivity and support economic growth in the region.
